There should be "Nearly out of stock" next to to the "Add to cart" button.
This could occure when the border value of stock for the admin notification is reached.

It seems quite specific to have such a functionality, if you wish to submit a contribution to the module I'll review it, otherwise I don't think such a feature will be develop for now.
