I'm creating my first Drupal site which is travel related so I was downloaded this module mainly for it's geomapping feature. I want users to be able to search all the content, which will be mostly user created, by location (country, city & possibly continent?).
I got the auto tagging to work but location tagging (which is key to my site) was inconsistent. Calais would sometimes ignore location info in nodes so I figured I'd have to find another solution.
I disabled the module and went to delete the db tables when I noticed the calais_geo and calais_geo_term tables have no content at all. The location tags from my test modules were all saved into the calais_term table. Does this mean my Calais Geomapping was never enabled?
If I didn't have it setup correctly (which I hope because I think this module is a great idea) could I get some tips on how to get Geomapping to work?
Thanks in advance!

Calais Geo is another module that you can enable. Once you configure it (under Site COnfiguration -> Calais Settings -> Calais Geo) there will be fieldset under the appropriate node type that allows you to configure the Geo mapping. SOrry for the delay in answering this ticket, let me know if there are any more questions.

Ok.. Update... I can see that calais geomapping works and provides the right data to map. The only problem is when using Gmap.... After a node is created you must go into the Geomapping section on the content type page and click on the cities which you wish to have mapped and then save the content type. Does anyone know how to make it so the cordinates are automatically passed to the map without extra user input?

That is currently not implemented (and admittedly a rather large deficiency) Seems like it would be best to display all cities (maybe over a relevance) and allow the users to some back to unselect if desired?
