Description

I installed the 6.x version and the link at the bottom has changed, which is nice, but then when I click on that I am still taken to 's blog. The breadcrumbs for the blog say "home > blogs > My Blog", even when i'm not logged in as that user (maybe a drupal bug) and When you click on read more, the breadcrumbs say "home > blogs > 's blog"; I think it should say "home > blogs > blog name". Also, I think the description should appear in more places than just the block, like maybe in the summary page (configurable), or perhaps you have a link to "about this blog", which shows that text. All-in-all, I think it's still too inconsistent to use. I know it's dev, but I don't know if you know about all these places, and I thought I'd bring up why I'm not using it even thought I wanted exactly this functionality.

Oops, some of that stuff must;ve looked like html tags. I'll try again:

That's because the "erroneous" parts you see belongs to the blog module and not bloginfo. It seem to be a usual misconception that bloginfo is supposed to "replace" certain parts of blog but that's not the case. It mainly adds 2 blocks to extend the blog with extra information, not to replace parts as the blogs title. The title in bloginfo is the title for the block with info, not the blog's title.

Now I know most if not all people like it to be different, including me, but I haven't had time lately to look deeper into finding a solution to this. So to sum up, this is mainly a problem of the blog module and because of that I am not sure a real good solution for D6 is possible, at least not without making it a hack.

Hopefully this is something that can be addressed in D7, I am open to suggestions for D6 though.
