custom content-don't want to have a title

How do I turn off the Title when I create a custom content?

I am trying to create a new content form that users can input information via pull down menus, and text fields. But I don 't want to title it or for it to have a body. Is this possible or do I need to see about creating a custom module.

Recipe is very similar to what I would like to achieve-but there is a title and that I don't want that.

Thanks

i think you need a title,

i think you need a title, the body though you can omit

in order to omit the body just remove any text in 'submission settings' -> body field label

maybe you could name the title-field to something that you could use in your form... maybe: 'Your name' or so... sometimes i do so.

use auto node title

and then use css to display title as hidden OR remove it from the display using something like content templates..autonode title will be needed so that each 'node' has a unique referenced title or id in the system which you can then hide...

that way you can set it just show cck fields or whatever you're after...
