I run a site where people create sessions (sports community). Other (registered) people may attend. I use the signup module. People don't always see sessions provided by others becaus they are created 1-2 days before the sessions takes place and not every user checks the site frequently every day. It would be nice for session-creators to give others a hint. Maybe buddies, members of a group or just some hand-picked friends could be targeted.
The selector for recipients could be like the one in private message with an additional note and a link to the node with signup button.

Could this be a goal of send-module or does another module maybe fits this need already.

This version of Send is not supported anymore. The issue is closed for this reason.
