under Administer › e-Commerce configuration › Customer it would be great if we could extend the gobal settings page to specify which fields are REQUIRED on the customer address form, modify their LABELS and an option to switch off the autocomplete for the state/province textfield.

I can pull together the necessary patches if you guys think it's a good idea.

Not sure about this as this would only apply to customer types that don't store addresses it would work, but outside the checkout it is really up to the customer module.

Thinking about this more, and I don't think this needs to be in the core, and can be done pragmatically. If someone wanted to a contrib module could be written to do this.

I am marking this as won't fix since I feel that it can be done external to the e-Commerce core. If you want to try it and confirm that this is the case please do and I will give any assistance needed.
