Failed to uninstall this module?

I got the following error from SMTP Authentication:
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'modules/smtp/phpmailer/class.phpmailer.php' (include_path='.;C:\php5\pear') in C:\Program\wamp\www\xxxxx\modules\smtp\smtp.module on line 246
I uninstalled the module but i still get this error when trying to use drupals mail function. It seems as if the module didn't uninstall correctly or left some nasty traces. Anyone know how to fix this?

This got fixed. Either it was fixed because i deleted the SMTP folder in modules/ (strange) or because the cache was emptied some way.
