I know Views is good, but this may be too magical even for it.

I'm wondering if it's possible to create a View that lists nodes by date relative to the node currently being viewed.

For example, let's say today's date is November 4th and you're viewing a node from July 1st: you would see a Views block displaying the titles of the five nodes just prior to July 1st, not the five most recent nodes from today's date.

I know the Related Links module can achieve something like this (although it requires manual input for each node), but I'm wondering if anyone has tried or done this with Views.
