Hi,

I am looking for a glue module between location and taxonomy on Drupal 6.
I tried place earlier on Drupal 5, but for my purposes location and (feedapi which I use) where not integrated enough to get my case going.
Now on drupal 6 feedapi will include a location mapper, and that makes place_taxonomy module come into place again!

Will there please be a drupal 6 version of this module please?

I'm afraid there will not be a Drupal 6 version without sponsorship.

World Social Forum is interested in picking up and taking WSF2008.net further, but I haven't had time to follow the discussion of those plans, if any.

EDIT: I want to reconsider sponsering this module, because it is the glue between taxonomy and location.
What amount are you talking about to get place in a working version with current functionality in D6?

Donations always welcome, we definitely can do this sponsored. I wrote Martijn:

I would estimate a proper overhaul of Place module for Drupal 6 and your
needs at around $6,000, very roughly. I hope less.

Regardless, you would want to specify your needs very clearly and post
publicly to

1) make sure someone doesn't have an easier way and get others ideas
2) see if others are interested in doing development before my availability
(earliest mid-May)
3) see if anyone else wants to contribute!

So I know what this module needed to do for WSF2008, and it just barely did it, if this is going to be done sponsored I want to be sure to get the specifications right and meet your needs first and foremost, so please try to write up your use cases clearly. It may be significantly easier than I am estimating, we would start with 1/3 up front and get as far as we could on that.

Hi, I am first struggeling with location itself and would very much use this functionality, but because it is for a development aid website do not have money to sponsor development.
