I need some assistance!
My host upgraded their servers last night to PHP5 and my drupal site isnt loading any more?

Can anyone help?

This is the error...

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 30720 bytes) in /home/vin/public_html/modules/event/contrib/event_views/event_views.module on line 290

tried upping the memory limits in php.ini 24M and things seem to be working now?

Is this normal?

Sure, that's possible, depending on your configuration (modules, blocks etc.) Drupal can need that much memory.

I wonder why the upgrade to php5 would trip it? or maybe just a coincidence

consider find another hosting company ...

a professional web hosting company wont give such trouble to her clients ..
