error:: The Calendar View requires at least one date field.

I am getting this error while trying to add Calender View using Calender module and it highlights Fields in red.What can be the problem with it?
Any other mudle which is simple to use, I just need to display a calender in Side of my site?
Is there a module which allows me to add Menu then convert it into block & display entire php code into that Block?
