I have tried to install the Audio module on the Drupal 6 test site running on my laptop (under Windows Vista).

But for the "Audio getid3" module my Modules page for Drupal reports that getid3 is "missing." In addition--and I suppose this results from the missing "getid3"--if I create an audio node the audio player doesn't show up.

  • I've installed and enabled the Audio module (version 6.x.1.0-unstable2).
  • I've downloaded and installed the getid3 package (version 1.7.7--latest stable version).
  • I've added in the getid3 "helperapps" directory the "windowssupport" package (getid3-windowssupport-2003.12.29).

I'm sure I must be doing something stupid. (Perhaps putting a directory in the wrong place?
I attach here a pdf showing my directory structure.)

Can someone straighten me out?

Thank you.

Cordially,
O Govinda

As far as I know, the latest 'Audio getid3' module requires the getid3 module: http://drupal.org/project/getid3
From your directory structure it looks like you may not have this installed.
If you haven't already, try installing that module.
Hope this helps.

That did it, McCool. Thank you very much!

I'll create a separate issue to suggest how the documentation can make this clear.

Gratefully,
