Maybe I'm being kinda dumb but although I joined the docs mailing list back in June I've never managed to send a message to the list successfully. Have checked settings at http://lists.drupal.org/options/documentation and they look OK.

I've actually tried to send messages to the list on June 5, Sept 24 and today.
Help??!!

BTW I don't get any sort of response from mailing to A list for documentation writers <documentation@drupal.org>.

Just now I tried mailing mailman@drupal.org for assistance, per http://lists.drupal.org/mailman/listinfo but got the following straight back:
"You are not allowed to post to this mailing list, and your message has been automatically rejected."
So something is working at least ;)

Hm, well the problem I tend to have is that I will forget to send to the list from the right email account, since I have several. You must send from the same address that you signed up with. I'm going to move this over to the infra queue since if that is not your issue, then someone who maintains the lists would need to help out.

Thx for yr quick response, yes I even remembered to send from the "right" address!

Have since tried 2 "wrong" addresses, sending via 3 different servers and haven't received a bounce. Should I?

I never get a bounce when I use the wrong address so I assume they get eaten somewhere. I guess we'll need a listmaster to check into it.

I am now the admin on the list so I should see things coming if they get trapped. Bottom line was that we had no moderator/admin actually looking after this. Can you try sending another message and I can see if/why it is getting trapped?
