Any update on when this might go to Drupal 6? Or anyone know of a module that accomplishes the same task?

I've been a slacker on this module - but I aim to make up for it.
Attached is my first attempt at a Drupal 6 version of this module. It looks like it is working and I ran it through Coder to make sure I wasn't missing anything silly.
I don't have time to create an official release at the moment, but you should be able to download it and start using it immediately.

I just committed a 6.x-1.x-dev release. It should show up on the main project page in 24 hours after the packaging script runs.
