Hi,
I new to Drupal. I am trying to use Drupal 6 for creating an E Learning Module for Rural Education in India. I am primarily looking at the following features in the module. Some of them are already available in the drupal core.

I was just wondering if there is any module useful to me, that I am missing.

I would greatly appreciate your help. Below are the features I am looking at.

Role Based Permission System
Moderated Wikipedia
Multilingual Support (For Indian Languages, at least provide some useful editors. It would be great, it I can find some translations also. )
Multiple Content Type Support (pdf, doc, xls, videos, flash, images, games etc)
User friendly and Interactive way of representing the content (like Microsoft encarta kids), coz the content is primarily focused on school education.

without knowing how your "school" operates, it is difficult to tell what u are missing......

it it is a FREE service, u dont need payment modules ..

if u dont use video as teaching material, u dont need flash ..

if u use flash videoes and all are already in flv format, u dont need conversion ...

tell us more then we may tell u more ...

The goal is to teach students thru games, videos, dramas, puppets etc. Text content should be the least. The ultimate goal is provide each student with a touch screen gadget, say 10 inches wide and just for playing our content. We will use some podcasting to update the content in the gadget with ours. We will provide a dedicated line to the schools, where they can update the content and go home and use it. Not just home, anywhere they want.

So I will be majorly interesting in handling video content and games and how to use pod casting etc.

Is there way to make drupal access thru mobile?

i dont understanding the podcasting and gadget u mentioned ....

if i build such e-learning web site, i will use flash as the e-leaning media.

young student play the flash games and learn math, physics..

what u need are the flash node module and SWFObject.
