Separate from the issue just raised, I am attempting to have a feed's items as a content type other than Story or Blog (the options presented on the Content Type screen for Feed). I would like them to be Scoop (the content type installed with the Drigg module) yet Scoop is not an option on the content type options, nor is Page or indeed Feed (i.e. a recursive feed of feeds). Is this an issue with the Feed API module having just a few content types enabled, if there's a quick hack (PHP or database) for this or I could be pointed in a direction to help fix I'd be very willing.

All the feed types are listed, except the types where you enabled FeedAPI (Is a feed content type). So make sure that "Is a feed content type" is not enabled for those content-types what you want to set up at "Node type of feed items" option.
This means that "i.e. a recursive feed of feeds" is a totally impossible thing with FeedAPI. Can you explain me some possible use cases for that?
