Multilingual page with forums and image galleries

Hello,

I have set up a multilingual drupal page that should contain image galleries and forums.

The image galleries and the forums do not work as expected: While all is fine in english (default language) and german, in french forum topics in english do not display (though language selection is current or default or language neutral), while language neutral elements multiply (appear more than once).

Strange enough, this only happens in french. I added norwegian and chinese for comparison, all works there, too. Is it possible that there is a mistake in the french po files, like a forgotten bracket ?

I have posted a bug report and searched the archives about this. It seems that forums and image galleries are not yet ready for multilingual sites.

So my question in the more frequented user forum:

a) Is there a workaround?

b) If not, what do people do? Embed another forum and another image gallery? Use a different cms?
