I recently upgraded from 1.8 to 1.81 and the author and citations are not now showing in the main quotes nodes. They still show in the blocks, so I know they are still in the db but they used to show up in both views. Now I just get the content of the quote, unless it is displaying as a block.
(I also seem to remember (?) that there was a citation tab, along with authors and bios but I don't have this now)
thanks for any help.

nancydruPlease tell me what settings you are using. I do not see this problem.
antarchi commentedThanks. my settings are as follows:
'make author a link' - ticked
'include author's bio' - don't display
10 quotes per page
'show links to user's quotes' and 'show the my quotes menu item' - both ticked
'add a recent quotes link' - ticked
I've attached a screenshot so you can see what I mean. All content displayed here is a quote ('nugget') Blue boxes down the left are quotes as blocks, and contain author and citation. Those displaying in the central panel (recent items) do not. If I click on one of the quotes, I don't get any more info than you can see here.
Hope that helps

nancydruI changed my settings to match yours and produced the attached screen shot.
Are you using a custom theme template?
antarchi commentedyes (I think so) I use the Zen theme, but I have modified it. It worked fine until I upgraded to this version of quotes. I've also tried switching the theme to Blue Marine and the author / citation still do not show up.

antarchi commentedupdate: if I disable the nodeteaser module, the author and citations show up as they should do. This is not convenient for me since I wanted to be able to display different teasers on the front page, but at least it allows me to retrieve my quote information.
Do you know why there should be a clash between these two modules? (there was no clash until I updated both to the most recent versions)
nancydruI wasn't even aware of that module. It doesn't seem very well maintained and there are several serious issues in the issue queue. At the moment, I simply don't have the time to download and debug that module. Perhaps someone else might.

nancydruHas the maintainer of Nodeteaser fixed this yet?
antarchi commentedThanks. In fact I changed from Nodeteaser to Excerpt and all was fine... for a bit.
I now have a problem with content showing, but it is not just quotes so I suspect this is not something you can help with. Some quotes are showing, others are not. It appears to depend on the content. I have filed the issue here

nancydruSince this is not a Quotes problem, I am closing it.
