Hi Philip,

I'm about to use your fantastic ddblock module and I'm wondering if I could use textual names instead of pagination. And if that is possible how would I achieve this? I want to use your module for a slideshow with a block inside a node and below links with text to point to each new page that slides in.

Eventually I need the same links to work in a menubar at the top of the node, so the user can choose to use the link from the menu bar or from the bottombar.

Are these wishes easely to achieve? What do you think?

Felix,

As you can see in the demo's of the next version of the dynamic display block module it is possible to use also text for the pager items.

Unfortunately the current version only supports numbers for all possible input types and images when you use an image folder as input for the ddblock module.

For your second question of Multiple pagers e.g. one above and one below the slides.
I don't know if this is possible. (I will ask this in the cycle plugin forum).

So maybe later an answer on this question.

Hi Felix,

I can also confirm that making multiple pagers is possible. I get it working on my test site. Although this functionality is not standard supported with the cycle plugin, we are going to try to support it with the next version of the dynamic display block module.

Hi Philip,

So it looks like I have to wait a little. I think this module will become a very important one as it makes it possible to slide images as well as text in a very fashionable way with a lot of extra information in the same space without the need for reloading the page. In that way other content on the page can be manipulated independent, for instance blocks in sidebars. Great!
With the navigation choice of extra buttons en links it brings the user more comfort and usability.
Thank you!
Felix
