missing Access Control after OG upgrade

when upgrading to latest stable version of Organic Groups,

when i go to 'Organic groups configuration', i no longer see ACCESS CONTROL, so all of my content is Public!

this is not possible as i operate a membership only website. am i missing something? help!!
