checkboxes expands tree

Hi!

I am playing around Taxonomy tree and wonder if it is possible to make tree react on checkboxes. If I tick checkbox, tree expands and shows sub items.

I know that magic happens in Taxonomy Manager module in tree.js file and that its just virtual javascript added buttons to expand tree, but there must be some way... Can anyone help me?
