I had a testing environment set up and working, and was poking around with it for a while. Then I left it alone for 2 weeks, and now I want to get back to working with it, but my website is now runs the install-script when I try to access the site.

I don't really know where to start looking for problems... damaged database? missing scripts/files? something else?

Have you already checked your sites/ folder if the respecitve domain-configurations are still valid?
