Currently the lightbox animates the first time and after that only when there is a different size. In the layouts I use, the images are dispearsed in an article layout, where I want to animate the lightbox everytime - could there be a configuration to do this?

I've implemented this for ungrouped images. If you're navigating through grouped images using the prev/next buttons, then it doesn't re-animate as it causes the lightbox to "jump". However, I have added it for when the lightbox is closed between viewing images. This will be available in the next dev release later today.
