Well... as luck would have it, client is upgrading installation to D6 so upgrading these contribs becomes a top priority. Timer is first in line. I should have a D6 version committed end of week.
It would be nice if the ported version could collaborate with Trigger and Actions.
If you share what you have so far and create a 6.x-dev branch, maybe we can help to speed up the process.
Zero reply from the module's author for about two years. I think it's safe to assume this module has been abandoned. Have you had a look at: http://drupal.org/project/jstimer
