I'm trying to wrap my brain around how to embed the up/down widget in the Flatforum template. The problem seems to be that Flatforum uses a single template file (forum.tpl.php) for both the initial forum post node and the associated comments. So embedding the widget code for comments creates comments because it's also embedded for the node, and vice-versa. Anyone have any idea how to work around this?
I suppose ultimately I could have it show up in the links section of the comments; I seem to recall that working OK when I was testing things earlier, but the owner of the site I'm adding this feature for wants the widget in a different spot.

mercmobily commentedHi,
I have never used FlatForum. Also, I cannot support in any case theming... sorry :-/
This bit didn't seem to make sense:
"So embedding the widget code for comments creates comments because it's also embedded for the node, and vice-versa"
If flatforum uses only one template, then maybe everything in Flatforum is a node (?). Or, if that's not the case, please ask the flatforum people how you work out if you're viewing a comment or a nod.
But again, sorry, I really don't know :-/
Marking as won't fix -- sorry.
Merc.
