Thank you colin for doing the .MOT file.
I've finished translating, so :
Hello, please someone can place this file in the CVS ?
Please check it, I used the software poEdit and I put UTF-8 but that's all I know, so I hope all those accents passed ok on a non-french system.

I've tested my own translation on my site and I can see that when adding an audio node
it is still written "Audio File" in one place, which is located not just above the upload field, but the one above that text.

In fact I have :

Audio File

Fichier Audio:*
UPLOAD FIELD
Cliquez "Parcourir..." pour sélectionner un fichier audio à envoyer.

And then after that I have still :
Allow file downloads.
If checked, people will be able to download this audio file on to their own computer.

But I know I have translated those sentences in the .po file.

THEN (this was only for add an audio node)

When displaying the audio node in a list, there's a line, which should read SONGTITLE by ARTIST, but when you don't fill those informations the line is still displayed but with only "by" which is annoying, you should not display anything if the information is not filled.

Plus, this "by" is not available in the translation file, it should be replaced by "par" or "de" in french..

Also, the "Click here" is not being translated. but "download audio file" is translated (but it maybe because I translated it earlier, by hand)

Finally the PLAY is not translated as well.

In the EDIT page of an audio node, I haven't translated by hand anything, and here I can see the correct translation except for the things I mentionned in the ADD AUDIO NODE page above plus this line is not translated :
Enter a single number here. "1" means that this is the first track on the album. Leave this blank, if you like

and when I translated it in the .po file I noticed that the sentence ends oddly. what means the "if you like" ? Of course people can leave blank this field, like the other ones, why mention it ?

That's it, please explain why it is not translating correctly, does it come from me ?

Notice that I did the test NOT on the website with my harmonica sounds that I sent you days earlier.

Bye.

Ok...

So I missed a few text strings in the audio module for the first attempt. I've generated a new .mot in:
http://cvs.drupal.org/viewcvs/drupal/contributions/modules/audio/po/

Sorry for that! All those pesky t() function calls!

But some of the issues you mentioned above were correct in the first version. 'Play' for example was correctly pulled out of the module for translation, but you mentioned that it wasn't there for you. I'm not sure why that was...

Hopefully you can add the strings I missed to yuor exisiting translation file pretty easily.

Thanks again for the translation!

I also fixed it so when you don't have an artist name and a title, the 'by' doesn't show up stranded. You can now also translate the 'by' string...

Please a quick help : do I have to redo everything with PoEdit ? Do I have to do copy&paste or is there a way to mix what I've done and the MOT file ?

If you answer me real quick it's fine, otherwise don't bother I think I'll go for the copy and paste, thanksfully there aren't too many sentences in this module.

Alliax,

The short answer is... I'm not sure.

You should be able to just add the most recent strings to the document you've already produced, but it might be easier to just cut and paste from the old one. Up to you I guess...

I've began with the new MOT file and copy pasting, but it seems your MOT file has a little problem here :
Path to uploaded \n
s

the previous MOT generated this sentence :
Path to uploaded audio files

so I suppose it's an error in your new MOT file (or in the new version of the module?) I will generate the previous sentence in my fr.po and will try it on the new .module which I already have uploaded to my sites without checking if it continues to work yet :-)

Damn!

I had a typo in the module... Once again I have updated CVS, and the pot file, and I *really* hope that you can just copy that line from the old one into your new translation file. Sorry for the hassles... Hopfully no more typos...

I can't change the fr.po directly from poEdit and if I open it with a text editor I fear the accents won't be good.
So I modified your .POT (yes that's it which is wrong) and added the correct english sentence, then I just add to open fr.po and do a "Catalog / Update from .POT file" and it replaced the entry.

you have this error in .pot file :
#: ./modules/audio/audio.module:67
msgid "Path to uploaded \n s"
msgstr ""

So here's my updated fr.po

I saw you released it as a 4.6.x module today, that's cool !
unfortunately i tried downloading both 4.6 and CVS and they still had the typo, so I fixed it myself on my site and I can tell you now :
Perfect match !

Everything is being translated correctly !
