I am using the .zip file available in the topic #234780: User Badges for Drupal 6? because I have no idea how to patch something on windows and after I upload an image, there is sill the "You have to upload badge images first." banner and I cannot access any of the uploaded images to assign them to badges.

How is this done?, and if this is fixed in one of the .patch files, how can I patch the files easily or is there another .zip available?

(I have also tried with HEAD and the same problem occurs)
