cck imagefield support

+1 for this feature. I would much rather have people upload into an imagefield, particularly so that it's easy to treat galleries as nodes, include them in views with other types of content, and so on.

How is imagefield working with 6.x these days? I originally tried to use imagefield in my own site, but CCK didn't really work with Views2 at that time.

The stars of views2, CCK, imagefield, and 6.0 have yet to fully align.

This is frustrating because I'd imagine that most of the images out there in Drupal-land are in imagefield and not in image. Likewise it seems most of the heavy Drupal users (those with dozens of sites) are using 5.x and won't be moving to 6.x anytime soon. In retrospect, it may have been a mistake to go with Drupal 6.0 in the first place, but when I first chose to go in that direction that was not at all clear.

yeah also people handling zillions of images are more than likely going to be both A) wanting a mass uploader and B) not using Image, but rather imagefield (multiple on single node).

Views 2, Imagefield and CCK are all working well now with Drupal 6.

More likely, a new module that will support imagefield (since image and imagefield are not really compatible). I'd prefer imagefield, too, but since I started my site at 6.0 hasn't been an option before now.
