I am using Drupal 6.6 with PostgreSQL 8.3 and Apache 2.2.10 and Php 5.2.6 on CentOS -4 (64 bit).
After providing the database details, the next page gets stuck at "Initializing". However all the tables in the database are created. But the installation never reaches till 'configure site' option.
Am I missing something here?

PostgreSQL 8.3

Finally an answer!
I have failed with 6.6 both locally and 1and1.com - a total of 20 failed installs. It fails after setting up the database at the barberpole.
This is NOT 64-bit; however, it was the mention of FIREFOX that got me thinking. I'm using
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.18) Gecko/20081029 Firefox/2.0.0.18
SOLUTION: I installed from Internet Explorer. I did NOT try to disable Javascript in FireFox.
