Hi everyone,

Is there a way to set up permissions so that one type of users ("bloggers") can write nodes but only another category "moderators") can publish them?

If so, is there a way for the moderators to get an alert when someone's created a node?

You might want to look at the modr8 module.

For alerts, see if the notification or subscription modules work. There are other ways (create a View of unpublished nodes that is visible only to moderators) as well.

Every blog owner may know this, they can moderate the comments and responses that other viewers posted. you can change your preference for other viewers can post their comments, but it will display only the blog owner approval.
