I installed a new site and the Search is not indexing, stays at 0%. Is there anything I have to do at the server end?

Do you have cron configured and running? See http://drupal.org/getting-started/5/install/cron for details.

I did run the cron job manually, also configured it in the cPanel of the site to run every hour.
is there anything that I have to add/modify in the cron.php file? and is there anyplace I can see the status of the cron job?

Please ignore this post, I had the cron job configured incorrectly. Everything's working fine now.
