Would it be complicated to add option that u set one Content Type as "directory". So when in Book Table of Content u click on that node title it opens/links to next page in TOC... so that it doesnt open that node insted it opens child page.

This seems to be a book module future rather than BookMadeSimple.
BookMadeSimple is only a shortcut to create book hierarchy.
TOC is managed by book module.
