Profile Module Multiple Select List (Drupal 5.x patch to Drupal 6.x)

I have a quite simple request. There is a multiple select functionality patch for the to the profile module (5.x; http://drupal.org/node/124348). I, and quite some other people here, would like to have it for the 6.x version. This Paid Drupal services request is for the development of a patch for Drupal 6.x (that it is finally done and can go into the core).
Please sent me your price expectations and till when you can have it working.

I guess you will have a hard time to convince core devs to implement this in D6, since D6 is only receives bugfixes after stable release, features are only added to D7 until code freeze. I would point my arrows at a D7 patch for this reason.

You can convert taxonomy multiple select lists to checkboxes with the module found in this thread.
