asespat - November 15, 2008 - 10:22

Hello, the main issue is the google ranking

My website http://www.rodats.com almost not appears in google

even asking for www.rodats.com

It seems as google find something wrong in the site

I've got sitemap

with 201 URL and google only indexed 5 and not the main ones

the secundary point would be to upgrade to drupal 6, i think i can do it now without loosing much functionality

please contact me at

info@rodats.com

thanks

What do you expect?

Google knows about your site
It just doesn't care.

To get higher in searches you have to have better content and be more popular than your competitors.
What sort of an answer do you want? If it was easy to get to the top then everyone else would do it too and you'd be down the bottom again.

I'm sorry but why did you move this post?

This is a request of paying services i want to PAY if somenone can solve the issue

And is not as you said i'll try to explain better

Well my site is from a skaters school, i'm not saying than when you put "skates" the site should appear the first, or even in the first page

But as in google advices says if you put the whole URL of your site and it doesn't appear, then something wrong happens

that's what i want to solve

If you don't know how to solve it , just do not contact, I'm searching for someone who is able too

Thanks

sorry- double-post. Ignore

??

OK.
First, I did not "move" your post. I don't know what's up with that. I saw it in General Discussion.
Your post did not read like a request for paid services to me, just general advice on how to rate higher.

Yes, it seems that even searching for your exact domain name doesn't help much in Google. I don't know why, but that could be a sign of blacklisting for reasons unknown. If, as I suggested, you tried google analytics or webmaster tools it would tell you if there are any problems with your listing status. You can even request a priority re-indexing. Have you tried that?

Thanks, and sorry, my forms where not as good as shoul be

So keep investigating

!
So Google is receiving 1,000 HTTP errors and 20,000 denials due to robots.txt? Eek.

Um, so look at robots.txt, eh?

Well, /g2/ is banned from indexing, so that's a bad start, I guess.
And your /event/s.
And your /taxonomy/
That's most of your pages being ignored already.

What's left? ...

OK, well your sitemap is deliberately indexing http://rodats.com/ not http://www.rodats.com/ . Technically they are different, so if you want SEO, you should pick one and direct everything to the www or NOT www version.
Clear instructions are in your .htaccess file.

But still, what are these errors?
Commandline investigation doesn't show any http problems. Didn't the webmaster tools list the http error pages?

How long has the site been up? Google indexing doesn't happen fast, even with a sitemap.
And if you submitted the sitemap when the site was still offline or in development, Google is probably going to ignore you for a moth after the first errors.

Is this helping?
