I managed to get Drupal installed today. But in trying to get comfortable with the system, i managed to get the Login Block to disappear. I've been searching the forums without any luck trying to get it to reappear.

i also can't figure out how to add a new page.

Any, basic help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

to re-enable the login block
go to: administer -> site building -> blocks
enable the login block in the region of choice
save the form

to add a new "page"
click on the create content link in your navigation menu when you are logged in.

I'm still not seeing the login block. It's enabled for every page. i must be missing something. I can log in and edit the site, but I'm not having any luck with the login block. Could it be because I have Drupal installed on my local machine (mac). Do I need to refresh my history?

As for the new page. I can create a new page. I think my understanding of a page is different in Drupal than a std. site. ie... the About Us page isn't being linked to. I thought I created a page named About but I can't link to it.

I need a book on this Drupal thing. It's pretty frustrating getting started.

Never Mind re: the login block. Basically, I had to use the log out link to make it work correctly. Duh...

...and if you can't login, go to http://yoursite/?q=user
