OG User Roles Subgroup Settings: Create Subgroups
Create Subgroups
Allows you to select a group type to use for displaying a
"Create Subgroup" link on your group menus.
Users will need to have the "create og_subgroups" and "create group content" permissions in order to access this link on their group menus. Note that this functionality requires the og_subgroups.module.
To use this, you must first have og_subgroups.module installed.
Next, you place a check in this checkbox:
Create link to "Create Subgroup" in group menu?
Finally, you select the group type to use for creating subgroups
from this pulldown menu:
Group type to use for subgroup creation:
Important Notes:
- the OGUR Subgroup content type is only used to allow a Create subgroup link to appear in your group menu. Subgroups actually created using this link are created using the group type you select above in OGUR settings for: Group type to use for subgroup creation:
See this issue: http://drupal.org/node/331528
- the Subgroup content type needs to be designated as a "Standard Group Post" in OG Settings: Organic groups configuration -> Content types. See http://drupal.org/node/331528#comment-1109678 for more details.
Note that in Drupal 6.x, you may need to run the "update.php" script before Subgroup will appear as a content type in "Administer->Content Management->Content Types".
- if you are using the Content Type Administration for OG module, then the Subgroup content type must be enabled in the "Content type for OG" administration panel. Again, see: http://drupal.org/node/331528#comment-1109678 and http://drupal.org/node/331528#comment-1129433
