Issue Summary
I'm tried using this module on both checkbox and single on/off checkbox, on both integer or text. Checkboxes don't display required symbol and behave as optional.

Hi
I can't tell from your description whether you are having the same problems that I had or something else but see http://drupal.org/node/342542 for my issue and the fix I made for it. Maybe it will help. I'm still quite new to Drupal so I don't know all the different ways that checkboxes can be created.

Issue seems to effect CCK fields.
