I am just wondering if it is possible and reasonable to move "Field by node type" settings from content type configuration page to input filter configuration page right below "permissions by role" block.

It used to be a single huge page in admin/settings. It was terrible. This is really a node type-specific configuration, so it should be on the node type page.
