The products in my catalog are all unique. They are paintings, so when one is sold, it will not return in stock.
But now, even though I added the stock functionality and set its amount to 1, when a product is sold it remains in the catalog, neither an 'out of stock' or 'sold' message is displayed.
Is there a solution I am not seeing now?

rszrama commentedThe stock module in Ubercart is purely used for stock tracking with the intention of other modules building on top of that to provide product and catalog management based on stock levels. This was shortsighted on our part, but it's where things stand. I don't know if any solutions exist for D6 yet that do what you're looking for, but I know there were several for D5. For further assistance, I'd direct you to our support forums where people regularly solve problems like this - http://www.ubercart.org/forum.

Tino commentedI found a module that does it!
"Ubercart Out of stock AJAX Notification"

Passionate_Lass commentedHello.
I know it has been white but did that module work for you? I saw you were looking specifically for a 6.x solution and I checked the module you suggested but it was listed as a 5.x module.
Did you port it, or did it work? o.o
Thank you

Tino commentedThis was indeed a D5 solution. Sorry 'bout that.
