It would be wonderfull, to get this module to work with the latest versions (XOOPS 2.3 and Drupal 6.6) This way, users can upgrade to the latest, and convert.

I have no knowledge of these modules, so I can't do it my self - but would love to see someone pick up the task.

I would love to see this module ported to Drupal 6.x too... I have 5 sites I need to convert from XOOPS to Drupal.

I have created a Drupal 6 version of this module if anyone is interested. I've re-written parts of it to be more OO, added in an optional taxonomy for different tinyd or news topics, and I'm using an API to create new terms and nodes rather than a direct DB write.
