I need to display certain info & logos on Front Page of my site, is there a way to do this with theme files?

Would a block work? (does your theme have a region in the area you want to put this info?) If so, you can create a new block and put the page visibility to show only on the listed pages and list <front> and that will have it only show up on the front page.
