Did an update.php - now the module has disappeared from the module list!!!!
I am using CCK 2 and D6.

Got this resolved by deleting the directory and reinstalling the module.
Seems that is the only way to upgrade.

Is this module still in the early stages?
It seems still to be very buggy (i.e basic functions are still broken).
(I've tried all the diff versions - either the tab does not show up in the user's profile or settings disappear or it is not saved).

Am I missing something? (i.e. should I wait for a stable release)

I suppose you were missing some files initially. Try beta3 it should work fine.
