I just would like to know what the status is for the version 6 version of the media mover module.

I don't see a download link on the project page and cannot seem to access the project's home page.

Mainly I need support for FFMPEG thumb creation and possibility to upload any type of video format (possibly could use flashmovie in combintation with media mover? )

The 6x version is still in Alpha. Look for a release later this week. You can always get the latest code from the CVS repositories. It is currently runnable, but it will throw some errors in your logs.

Alpha 2 should be out in a day or two. Lots of work and support by many people has resulted in a pretty usable module at this point.
