After moving around my drupal installation between a subdomain and the regular parent, I noticed that I was getting "Page not found" errors -- which led me to discover that the Views module had been somehow 'lost' from my installation.

I updated the site to 6.6, and tried installing Views again. It is there in the files, but I cannot actually navigate to it, and the admin menus doesn't recognize it -- and the actual view pages themselves are AWOL.

this strikes me as very weird. im sure i could give you more information to help me out -- but I dont know even where to begin.

I've tried running update.php many times.

what's going on? how do i get views to show up under site building again? how do i restore my site?!

wow... apparently the sleep deprivation has set in. it seems *enabling* the module after installation is always a good idea. please disregard this unfortunate display.
