Hello,
I am brand new to Drupal and CMS in general. I was discovering the interface today and changing a few things here and there. I turned the "work off-line" function and at the end logged out...
I am now unable to access my website account. When I type in the url, a page with the Drupal logo comes up saying: Site off-line
is currently under maintenance. We should be back shortly. Thank you for your patience.

Can you help? Can you tell me what this function is for?

you need to sign in as user 1 (the user that you set the sit up with) at the following url

http://yoursite.com/?q=user

Go to http://yoursite.com/?q=user and then turn the maintenance screen back off.

It is used when you make major upgrades to your site and you don't want to allow user access during the update (It may fall over).
