Piclens deactivates on multi-page galleries

Version:6.x-1.4

Description

As long as one gallery contains few enough pictures to fit on one page, the piclens rollover icon is functional on the previews.
As soon as you exceed the capacity of the first page, the icon is gone and the associated mediaRSS feed seems to be empty.
After deletion of the exceeding pictures, the icon returns.

I am using image_fupload with image+image_gallery and a free tagging taxonomy to let my users quickly and easily create own galleries.

Enabling or disabling Piclens Lite does not change the behavior.
The problem was introduced with version 6.x-1.4, so it could be related to the taxonomy extension.
In 1.3 there was only the inconvenience that piclens would only show the pictures of one gallery page at at time, while its GUI is suitable to take them all at once. I don't know, whether there'S a connection.

Check out the gallery at http://smoklang3.per-signum.de/?q=image/tid/75 with 10 pics and compare against http://smoklang3.per-signum.de/?q=image/tid/72 with 3 more pics.

Please help! I am hoping for an update of this module already for months. Maybe someone can at least point my nose on the relevant piece of code or point out more dependencies.

I have a similar problem, i think that they are connected, piclens works fine when the gallery is made from the first vocabulary, using taxonomy, but when i want to see a gallery made of the second vocabulary via piclens seems empty, like if there is no rss feed.
