Hello, this looks like a really great module and just what I am looking for. I have installed Notifications and all the necessary modules. But I can’t seem to get it to send emails. I am trying to send using simple mail although I have tried it with mime mail too but either way it’s not working for me. I played around with the configurations and got it to send emails to the poster when Notify poster of own posts was checked and I have no problem sending emails with contact form, group emails, etc. but I can’t get it to send an email when content is created. I am subscribed to receive email notifications when a content type called action is submitted and configurations to send immediately, but it doesn’t send mail.

I noticed that when I go to admin/messaging/template at the bottom of the page it says:

“Sending methods
Mime Mail
Simple Don't send messages but display them on a user account tab“

How can I get it to send the messages as well as display them on a user account tab?

Hello,

As admin you should be able to maintain your own subscriptions. Make sure the content type subscription in question is set to the mail sending method, rather than simple. Check 1) the subscriptions are set to mail method 2) you receive mail from other subscriptions or other modules that make use of messaging and 3) the notification does in fact show up on the message log.
