The bug tracking system used on drupal.org just got a major upgrade. There are a lot of changes, but the biggest change is contributed modules and themes getting their own project area. The individual project areas include separate bug trackers, making it easier to find and keep track of projects..

Issues—bug reports, feature requests, support requests, tasks—can be subscribed to on an individual basis, without having to subscribe to any of the Drupal mailing lists. To subscribe to a project:

  • Log into your account.
  • Find the project page you want to subscribe to.
  • Toggle the subscription options and save your new settings.

Module and theme owners can leave a comment to this post to request ownership of their projects. Being the owner of a project grants you the permission add a description, enter links and create release notes for the different versions. This, combined with the new versioning/tagging/branching policy of the contributions repository will help improve the quality of modules and themes provided on the download page.

Here I am :) As you can see, my Drupal.org username is "Goba". I have also taken over the bookmarks and bbocode modules lately (from Alastair), so feel free to assign me to those too.

I also made some changes to the weblinks module, but as I have seen, there are tons of modified versions all around in different sandboxes, and I am not familiar with the state of that, so I am not sure I would like to become the official person of that module. It would be nice to clean up the multiple weblinks module situation, so someone would become an active maintainer of that module finally. Seems like Barry (the original author) is not around...

Perhaps you could help me figure out why when the window that pops up attempts to load *something* then sends me straight to the frontpage, and signed out?

Tested in 2 browsers on 2 OSs.

aspell is configured correctly and seems to be detected correctly. The command when duplicated as done by the module on the commandline, works fine.

Ideas? Is this thing actually simply broken?

I've just finished going through all the modules on the releases page and updating their descriptions. In most cases, the descriptions are taken from the README (the first paragraph or two). Where the README was lacking, I fell back on INSTALL. When neither was present, I took the description from the _system hook. Please feel free to elaborate on or edit the descriptions.

Tip: The Description field for each project accepts HTML (even though it doesn't specify this under the text box).

This means you can make your description more readable by marking it up, and it also means you can create as long a description as you want for your project page, and using the !--break-- tag, a short description for the page listing all projects.

I have a new module I would like to put in Projects, but not sure how to do this.

It's in the CVS contributions already, but looking through the Projects section, and the Documentation, I couldn't find any info on creating a new project page. If there's guidelines, It would be a good idea to add a link to it from the main Projects page.

The project is called Popup Module - one click access from anywhere, to anywhere...
