I have "12h" set as the site time notation preference in the event module settings, but when viewing the event node (node/xxx), the time displays in 24h time. It is displayed correctly as 12h everywhere else so far as I can tell.

Correction: the time is also displayed incorrectly as 24h on the "day" view (event////day/all/all/1)

Whoops, stripped my tags there. The path for the last note should be:
event/[year]/[month]/[day]/day/all/all/1

Are you saying that the time in the node (after the "Begin:")is wrong or the url of the node (after the "node/time in numbers") as the wrong time?

The URL is fine; the time specified after the word "Start" in both views is in 24h notation.

Thank you! I hadn't even thought to look there. The site-wide timezone setting fixed this issue.

There was a date formatting problem I found in my event.theme file, it was as if the sitewide date/time formatting was not being applied to the event node date/time. I made sure that the sitewide clock was set to 12h and that made no difference. I changed some of the code in my theme file and it solved my problem.

I'll suggest that one of the developers for this module check out my work and maybe consider it for distribution. There are tons of questions on the forums about those darned misbehaving 24h clocks. I'm no code warrior but this might save people lots of headaches.
