Grant permission to view the "Page Not Found" log?

Anyone know how to grant permission to view the "Page Not Found" log, and preferably the menu item for same, to a new role in Drupal 5.7? I've tried granting "access statistics" and "view post access counter" to the "statistics" module, and "administer statistics filter" to the "statistics_filter" module but have only been able to give access to the "Recent hits," "Top referrers," "Top pages" and "Top visitors" stats.
